Dogsledding in Arctic Norway

Updated: Apr 10, 2018

A 6-day dog-sledding expedition high above the Arctic Circle in Norway to learn how to photograph the Northern Lights. Departing from Altevatn Lake, which stretches over 24 miles through the mountains of inner Troms County, south to Rokhunborri National Park and then northwards up into Dividal national Park.

Overnighting in a cosy Sami tent and Leina Hut, -26C made things sporting but the effort was worth it. Anytime our enthusiasm was flagging we had 47 very excited dogs to spur us on and the Aurora Borealis for inspiration.
